Remove check straps (2) from side lock strikers (3)

Remove paneling over side lock strikers (3)

Remove side lock strikers (3)

Adjust

Loosen bolts (4) of hinges (5)

 It must be possible to move the liftgate (1).

Align liftgate (1) and tighten bolts (4)

Loosen nuts (6) of hinges (5)

 It must be possible to move the liftgate (1).

Align liftgate (1) and tighten nuts (6)

Install

Install side lock strikers (3)

 Do not yet tighten bolts of side lock strikers (3).

Install check straps (2) on side lock strikers (3)

Adjust

Adjust transition of liftgate (1) to edges of taillamp covers and sideways motion of lock strikers (3)

 The transition must be flush.



Install

Tighten bolts of side lock strikers (3)

Install paneling over side lock strikers (3)
