Disconnect/connect/remove ground lead from battery

Remove/Install

Unscrew nuts (1)

Unclip covers (2)

Release rear seat backrest and fold forward

See Operating Instructions

Unhook locking controls (3) in trunk from the rear seat backrest lock.

Remove paneling on C-pillar

Remove rubber buffer

Remove spreading clips

Lift rear shelf (5) until electrical connector (6) is accessible

Unplug electrical connector (6)

Take out rear shelf (5) with roller blind (7)

Loosen electric lead (8) from rear shelf (5)

Only when replacing rear shelf (5)

Installation: Fasten electric lead (8) to rear shelf (5) with strips of adhesive tape.

Slacken nuts (9)

Only when replacing rear shelf (5)

Installation: Carefully screw on nut (9) by hand to prevent damaging rear shelf (5)

Remove roller blind (7)

Only when replacing rear shelf (5)

Installation: Slide roller blind (7) up to stop into guides (10)

Install in the reverse sequence
