Remove/install

Open sliding roof paneling (14).

2

Completely lower left and right rear side window.

Remove left and right sun visor (2) with counterbearing.

Remove overhead control panel control unit (N70)

Remove inside rearview mirror unit (A67)

Remove inside rearview mirror bracket (3)

Unclip cover (4) from rain/light sensor (B38/2)



Remove night view assist camera cover (5).

with code (610) Night view assist

Disconnect electrical connector (6) from rain/light sensor (B38/2).

Remove left and right A-pillar paneling (7)

Remove both grab handles (8).

Remove left coat hook lamp (E15/24) and right coat hook lamp (E15/25).

Remove rear shelf paneling

 Remove until electrical connector (arrow) on headliner wiring harness (10) is accessible.

Expose electrical connector (arrow) on headliner wiring harness (10) and disconnect.

 The electrical connector (arrow) is located in the lower area of the right
C-pillar below the damping material of the rear shelf.

Remove left and right check strap (9) form C-pillar.



Unclip headliner (1) downward from sliding roof frame.

 Installation: Position left and right seal for side windows on headliner (1).

Detach headliner (1) on Velcro strips (11) and retaining clip (12) from roof paneling.

 Installation: Install retaining clip (12) in corresponding mount in roof paneling.Press headliner (1) to roof paneling in area of Velcro strips (11).

Remove headliner (1) from vehicle with aid of helper.

 Carefully remove headliner (1) to prevent damaging the interior equipment.

Prepare roof paneling (1) for installation
