Remove/install

Remove seat belt (5) from seat

 Screw/bolt, belt end fitting to seat

*BA91.40-N-1008-01B

Detach door seal (2) off web of door cutout on the B-pillar

Detach door seal (3) off web of door cutout on the B-pillar

Unclip paneling (4) from B-pillar

 Installation: Remove retaining clips (6) remaining in B-pillar and fasten on paneling (4).
Check retaining clips (6), replace if necessary.

 Installation: Position paneling (4) below floor covering.

Cut seal (arrows) with sharp knife

When removing left paneling (4).

 Installation: Replace seal (arrows).

Sealant 221, 310 ml, DBL 6069.20

Pull left paneling (4) upward as far as possible and cut lower section of paneling (4) below seal (arrows)

When removing left paneling (4).

 Select cut so that it is not visible after installation.

 Installation: When replacing left paneling (4), shorten paneling (4) in lower area. Select cut so that it is not visible after installation.

Remove paneling (4) and guide seat belt (5) through paneling (4)

Remove separate section from left paneling (4) from base

When removing left paneling (4).

Remove belt height adjustment paneling (7) and belt guide adjustment and guide seat belt (5) through belt height adjustment paneling (7)

 Installation: Position drive plate on belt height adjustment paneling (7) on release of belt height adjustment device.

Install in the reverse order

Check belt height adjustment device for proper function

 Seat belts/emergency tensioning retractors
