Notes on carrying out repair work in the vehicle interior

Remove/install

Remove light strip cover (2) on left and right


Carefully remove light strip cover (2).
Otherwise the light strip cover (2) can be damaged.

 Slightly press light strip cover (2) together and remove downward.

 Installation: Hook in light strip cover (2) from outside, press together and arrest in side retaining rails (6) and inner retaining rails (5).

Unscrew bolt (3) from cutout for roof hatch

Unscrew bolts (4) and remove vent grille

Unscrew bolts (16) from both side retaining rails (6)

Unclip side mounting rail (6) from inner mounting rails (5) with long wedge (11)

Pivot side mounting rail (6) 90° downward and remove from inner mounting rail (5)

 Helper required.
Slightly pull headliner toward at front downward.

Disconnect electrical connector (12) from left and right light strip

Remove bolts (13)

Pivot air duct cover (14) on left and right downward and remove


Carefully remove air duct covers (14).
Otherwise the air duct covers (14) can be damaged.

Remove bolts (15)

Remove rear side headliner (9) center side headliner (8) and front side headliner (7)

 Installation: Check adhesive foils on rear of front side headliner (7), center side headliner (8) and rear side headliner (9) for damage, replace if necessary.

Remove bolts (17)

Unscrew bolts (10) from inner mounting rails (5)

 Two helpers required for securing inner headliner (1).

Guide inner headliner (1) completely out of vehicle

 Two helpers required.

Install in the reverse order
