Remove

Remove diesel oxidation catalytic converter.

Remove lower engine compartment lining

Remove front exhaust system from SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1).

Remove heat shield lower section under SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1).

Remove screws (2).

Remove screw (3) from clamp (4).

Lower vehicle.

Open clamp (4) and remove upward.

Remove pressure line (6) from SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1).

 For this purpose, remove union nut (5).

Remove differential pressure lines (8) from SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1).

 For this purpose, remove union nuts (7).

Remove differential pressure lines (8) together with differential pressure sensor (9) upwards and place to one side.

Remove the bolt (10).

Remove SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) upwards.

Clip: Remove/install SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit

Remove seal (11).

If SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) will be reused.



Clean

Clean separating points at SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1).

If SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) will be reused.

Clean separating point at low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation line (12).

Install

Install new seal (11).

Position SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) at installation location.

Tighten screw/bolt (10) slightly by hand.

Tighten screws (2) slightly by hand.

Attach new clamp (4) to SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1).

 Do not close clamp (4).

Align SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) with low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation line (12).

Position clamp (4) in the installation position and close.

Tighten screw (10).

Attach pressure line (6) to SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) and attach union nut (5).

Slightly tighten new screw (3) at clamp (4) by hand.

Attach differential pressure lines (8) together with differential pressure sensor (9) to SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) and attach union nuts (7).

Raise vehicle.

Tighten screw (3) of the clamp (4).

Read out and delete fault memory.

If SCR catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit (1) was replaced and/or problems existed.
