Remove/install electric fan on oil cooler of rear axle center assembly

Remove

Remove the crown with the differential

Unlock and remove the locking pin (2) from the control cylinder (1) at the control lever (5)

Remove the nut (6) and the screw (4)

 Mark the control lever (5) position with respect to the control yoke (12) shaft.

Remove the control lever (5) and the protective cap (7)

Loosen the screws (11) and remove the flanged sleeve (9) and the shim (10)

Extract the lower bearing sleeve (13) from the rear axle housing



Remove the control yoke (12)

 Lift the yoke and tilt it toward the center of the housing.



Install

Install the control yoke (12)

 The splined end should be facing up.

Install the lower sleeve (13) using a plastic hammer

 Apply a sealing agent to the outer surface of the sleeve.

Mount a new sealant (8) on the flanged sleeve (9) with a suitable mandrel

 Apply grease to the space between the sealing lips of the seal.

Install the shim (10), the flanged sleeve (9) and the screws (11)

 Apply a sealing agent to the housing.



Measure the axial play of the control yoke with a feeler gauge

Install the protective cap (7) and the control lever (5)

 Note the lever position mark with respect to the fork, made when removing.

Install the screw (4) and tighten the nut (6)

Position the yoke of the command cylinder rod (1) on the control lever (5), install the pin (2) and secure it with the lock (3)

 With the control cylinder rod collapsed and the control lever in the disengaged position, the holes in the lever and the rod should be aligned.

Install the crown with the differential
