1 | Remove the spare wheel (1) | By using 32 mm hexagonal socket and ratchet. | |
Installation: By using 32 mm hexagonal socket and torque wrench. | |||
2 | Remove the drain plug (2) from differential assembly | ||
3 | Remove the air line (3) from the differential unit | ||
4 | Pull out the breather hose (4) and disconnect the harness socket (5) from differential lock unit. | Release air from auxiliary air tanks before starting any service procedure | |
5 | Remove the differential lock sensor (6) and install the dummy bolt on the slot of the differential lock sensor | By using 24 mm, 27 mm hexagonal socket and ratchet, wrench. | |
Ensure that the dummy bolt is installed instead of the differential lock sensor, before removing the axle shaft from the axle housing | |||
6 | Remove the air line (7) from the interlock unit | ||
7 | Disconnect the harness socket (8) from inter lock unit. | Release air from axillary air tanks before starting any service procedure. | |
8 | Remove intermediate shaft (9) from the rear forward axle and rear rearward axle | By using 18 mm socket and wrench. | |
Support the propeller shaft by hand to prevent it from dropping down. | |||
Installation: By using 18 mm socket and torque wrench. | |||
Install intermediated shaft from the rear forward axle and rear rearward axle | |||
9 | Remove the propeller shaft (10) between the rear forward axles drive head flange and transmission flange | By using 18 mm ring spanner. | |
Installation: By using 18 mm socket and torque wrench. | |||
Install the propeller shaft mounting bolts between the rear forward axles drive head flange and transmission | |||
10 | Remove the axle shafts (11) from the side wheel hubs | By using 24 mm hexagonal socket and ratchet. | |
11 | Attach removal fixture (12) to differential assembly | ||
12 | Remove differential assembly (13) from the rear axles and pull out the differential assembly from the vehicle | By using 24 mm hexagonal socket and ratchet. | |
Installation: Apply the sealant (14) to the differential housing. | |||
Insert and tighten the guide bolts (15) into axle housing for installing differential assembly. | |||
By using 24 mm hexagonal socket and torque wrench. | |||
Install differential assembly to the vehicle | |||
