| Disassemble | ||
1 | Remove axle through-drive | ||
2 | Remove drive shaft through drive (6) | ||
3 | Remove sliding sleeve (7), shift fork (8) and compression spring (9) | ||
4 | Remove oil filler ring (10) and thrust ring (11) together with pinion input gear (12) | ||
5 | Remove differential housing (14) with differential cross (15) and differential pinions (16) | ||
6 | Remove differential side gear (19) with pressure plate (17) | ||
7 | Remove tapered roller bearing (20) from differential side gear (19) | ||
8 | Remove bearing outer race (21) inwards from the through drive housing (22) | ||
| Assemble | ||
9 | Heat up through drive housing (22) in bearing outer race area (21) to approx. 80 °C and install bearing outer race (21) | ||
10 | Install differential side gear (19) with pressure plate (17) | ||
11 | Install differential housing (14) with differential cross (15) and differential pinions (16) | | |
12 | Install pinion input gear (12) | ||
13 | Mount oil filler ring (10) and thrust ring (11) onto pinion input gear (12) | The oil grooves of the thrust ring (11) and oil filler ring (10) must face towards the pinion input gear (12). | |
14 | Insert sliding sleeve (7), shift fork (8) and compression spring (9) | Install shift fork (8) with number on it facing upwards into the sliding sleeve (7). | |
15 | Install drive shaft through drive (6) | ||
16 | Install axle through-drive |
