Remove exhaust system from rear flange connection onwards

Detach drive shaft (7) from joint flange (41) on rear axle differential (50)

Unscrew hexagon collar nut (40)

 To do so, screw 2 bolts into joint flange (41) and counterhold joint flange (41) using  counterholder.

Detach joint flange (41)

Pry radial shaft sealing ring (42) using suitable tool out of rear axle differential (50)



Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)

BB00.40-P-0235-07A


Do not damage seat of radial shaft sealing ring (42) in rear axle differential (50).
Otherwise leaks may occur.

 Installation: Replace radial shaft sealing ring (42), coat sealing lip with universal hypoid gear oil and use drift  to press into rear axle differential (50).

Install in the reverse order
