1 | Remove the differential | ||
2 | Remove the bolts (16) and washers (17) from the satellites box and disassemble it completely | Mark the halves of the satellites box so that the original position is kept in the assembling. | |
3 | Release and remove the bolts (13), nuts (15) and washers (14) that attach the ring gear (1) | Mark the ring gear in relation to the position in the satellites box. | |
4 | Remove the ring gear (1) using a press | Support the ring gear (1) on metal or wood blocks and press the satellite box (3) through the ring gear. | |
5 | Remove the tapers from the bearings (11) and (12) from the halves of the satellites box (3) and (2) | Remove with a proper puller or press. | |

6 | Wash the parts and check them for wearing | Grease the parts in the assembling. | |
| Assemble | ||
7 | Assemble the ring gear (1) in the satellite box (3) | Heat the ring gear (1) in warm water, at a temperature of approximately 80 °C, during 10 minutes, to allow its manual installation. | |
8 | Install the bolts (13), nuts (15) and washers (14) that attach the ring gear (1) | ||
Apply locking product in the bolts thread. | |||
9 | Assemble the bearings tapers (11) and (12) in the both halves of the satellites box (3) and (2) | ||
10 | Assemble the planet gear (4) with its thrust washer (8) in the half of the satellites box (3) | ||
11 | Assemble the crosshead (10) and the satellites (6) with the respective washers (7) | ||
12 | Assemble the planet gear (5) and its thrust washer (9) | ||
13 | Assemble the satellites box cover (2) | Observe the original alignment. | |
14 | Install the bolts (16) and washers 17) that attach satellite box | ||
Apply locking product in the bolts thread. |
