Disassemble and assemble

Remove the ring gear with the differential

Remove the bearing track (1)

Remove the bolts (3) that attach the ring gear (5) and the cover (4) in the bell hub (22)

 Install previously the assembly in a proper device.

Mark previously the assembling position of the cover (4) and the ring gear (5) in the bell hub (22) to assemble them, later, in the same position.

Assemble: Apply a sealing compound in the bolts threads.

Remove the bell hub cover (4) heating on it with the copper pin

Assemble: Install the cover in the bell hub making it match with the markings made in the disassembling

Remove the satellite box with the planet gears (12)

 Use a proper device for the removal.

Remove the ring gear (5) from the bell hub (22) hitting on its internal part with a copper pin

 Do not hit against the ring gear teeth.

Assemble: Position the ring gear in the drilling with two guide pins.

Remove the thrust washer (20) from the bell hub (22)

Remove the tapered roller bearings (2) and (23)

 Remove the bearing form the bell hub (23) through the drilling located under its internal track.



Remove the attachment bolts (21) and separate the cover (18) from the satellite box (12)

 Previously hold the satellite box properly.

 Mark the assembling position of the cover (18) in the satellite box (12) to assemble them, later, in the same position.

Assemble: Apply a sealing compound in the bolts threads.

Remove the thrust washer (13) and the planet gear with long hub (14B)

Assemble: Install the planet gear with long hub (14B) at the side of the satellite box cover (18).

Remove the crosshead (15), the satellite gears (16) and the ball washers (17)

Assemble: Mark the parts assembling position to assemble them later, in the same positions.

Remove the planet gear with short (14A) and the thrust washer (13)

Assemble: Install the planet gear with short hub (14A) at the side of the satellite box (12).

Introduce a pin with smooth hits against the lock pin (7) and remove the axles from the planet gears (6)

 Avoid introduce the pin beyond the necessary in order to not damage the support eyelet .

Disassemble the planet gear removing the planet gears axles (6), the planet gears (9) and the internal and external washers (8)

 As long as possible keep each set of planet gear individualized, composed of axle (6), gear (9), rollers (10), thrust washers (8) and intermediate washers (11).

Assemble: Grease the rollers with grease.

Assemble in reverse order

 Grease all the components in the assembling.
