Detach hub cap (1)

 Installation: Replace hub cap (1) when damaged



Remove front wheels



Detach cover (7) from front axle carrier

Remove bolts (3, 4)

 Installation: Note different screw lengths (3, 4).

 Installation: To tighten the screw (4) the vehicle lift has to be lowered and the vehicle standing on its wheels. Turn the steering to the left or right as necessary (accessibility).

Pull front axle shaft (6) out of the front axle shaft flange

 Pull transverse control arm (2) out of front axle carrier.

Pry flange ball joint (9) out of steering knuckle

 Do not remove flange ball joint (9) from lower control arm (2), as otherwise a wheel alignment check will have to be performed.

Remove lower transverse control arm (2)

 Check flange ball joint (9) if necessary 

Replace flange ball joint (9).

Replace front mounting.
