Detach hub cap (10)

 Installation: Replace hub cap (10) in the event of damage.



Unscrew collared nut (7)

 Installation: Install new collar nut (7) and caulk.



Remove front axle brake disk.

Detach flange joint at lower transverse control arm (2)

 Only unscrew bolts (3).

Identify flange joint relative to lower transverse control arm.

Press front axle shaft (9) out of front axle shaft flange (6)

 Do not damage boot of front
axle shaft (9)

Do not overstretch brake hose.

Pull off front axle shaft flange (6)

 Due to pulling off the front axle shaft flange the angular contact ball bearing (8) is destroyed and must be replaced. If the bearing inner race remains on the front axle shaft flange 

Pull off bearing inner race

Install in the reverse order

Perform chassis alignment check

 If the flange joint was labeled in relation to the lower transverse control arm (2) a chassis alignment check is not necessary.
