Pulling out angular ball bearing
1 Remove locking ring (5c).
If the steering knuckle was removed.
Press out angular ball bearing using thrust piece (073g) and thrust piece (073d) on a hydraulic press.
2 Attach thrust piece (073e) and thrust piece (073g), push spindle (073d) through and fit nut (073f). Pull angular ball bearing (5b) out of steering knuckle (4).
parts 01, 02, 07, 08.Use
Install the small thrust piece (073g) with the chamfer facing the angular ball bearing.

Pulling in angular ball bearing
Clean mounting bore for angular ball bearing (5b).
3 Fit angular ball bearing (5b) on steering knuckle (4).
4 Attach thrust piece (073i) and thrust piece (073h), push spindle (073d) through and fit nut (073f). Pull in angular ball bearing (5b) as far as the stop.
parts 03, 04, 07, 08.Use
the large thrust piece (073h) without chamfer
The angular ball bearing (5b) must not be tilted when being pulled in.
5 Install locking ring (5c).
