Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove air/water duct.

Remove corresponding transverse control arm (1) of front axle.

Remove ball head (2) of tie rod from steering knuckle (8).

Remove brake hose (3) from suspension strut (5).

Remove electrical wiring harness (4) from suspension strut (5) and move out of working area.

Remove rpm sensor from steering knuckle (8).

 Do not disconnect electrical connector.

Remove pressure line (10) from suspension strut (5).

 To do so, first unclip pressure line (10) from retaining clip (11) and then remove from suspension strut (5).
Use suitable open end wrench bit in combination with  socket wrench socket.
Seal connections.

Remove bolts_(7).

 Screw/bolt, front floating caliper carrier to steering knuckle

Remove brake caliper support (6) with brake caliper from steering knuckle (8) and secure outside of working area.

 Do not loosen brake hose (3).

Remove torsion bar linkage (9) of stabilizer from suspension strut (5).

 Do not completely remove torsion bar linkage (9).

Remove suspension strut (5) together with steering knuckle (8).

 Helper required.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check air suspension for leak tightness.
