Remove front section of bottom section of soundproofing

Remove front section of lower engine compartment paneling

Disconnect pressure line connection (1) from AIRmatic compressor unit (A9/1)

 Plug the pressure line for the duration of the repair operations.



Remove intake hose from air filter (2)

 Installation: If the air filter is replaced, the arrow on the air filter must be pointing up.

Unscrew nuts (arrows) and remove AIRmatic compressor unit (A9/1)



Disconnect electrical connector from AIRmatic pressure reduction valve (A9/1y1)

Disconnect electrical connector (3)

Install in the reverse order

Replace air suspension compressor relay

When replacing the compressor unit

 When replacing the compressor unit, always replace the air suspension compressor relay, because its switching contacts may have been damaged beforehand.


