Remove/install air suspension valve unit

Remove/install

 Danger!

Risk of death from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury from pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Do not work between wheels and wheel wells or in wheel box.

Only perform testing and adjustment operations from below the vehicle.

Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

Release compressed air from air suspension system

Deactivate air suspension

Raise vehicle

Unscrew compressed air hoses (1) on level control valve unit (Y36)

 Mark compressed air hoses in order to avoid mixing up and thus malfunctions. Seal connections with plugs.



Disconnect electrical connector (2) on level control valve unit (Y36)

Unscrew level control valve unit (Y36) from carrier plate (2)



Install in the reverse order

Check air suspension for leaks

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS

 Only when replacing level control valve unit (Y36).

Initialize level control valve unit (Y36)

Clear fault memory
