| Removal | ||
Danger! | Life at risk by the lowering of the vehicle when working between the wheels and the structure. Risk of injury by crushing or pressing, in pneumatic suspension jobs | Do not work between the wheels and the rolling space or wheel wells. Carry out the testing jobs and adjustment exclusively from the vehicle underside and with the help of a pit. Safely fence access to moving parts area.
| Lift the vehicle side where the pneumatic bellows will be removed and support the vehicle frame | Chock the vehicle to prevent unintentional rolling.
| Remove the wheel | ||
| Completely depressurize the pneumatic bellows
| Remove the compressed air line at the threaded fitting (6)
| Remove the bellows (2) and the support plate (10) | Carefully separate the bellows (2) manually from the top ring sealing rim on support (7) and pull it out together with the bottom support plate (10) at the bottom part Do not utilize levers or metal made tools. As a last resource, utilize a wooden lever with rounded off tips.
| Separate the bellows (2) from the support plate (10)
| Remove the lower cylindrical support (11) | Unscrew the flange bolt fastening the lower cylinder (13) of the support (12) attached to the front axle(14).
| Disassemble the stop (8) from the support plate (10) | Secure the assembly by the support plate (10) in a bench vise (with duly protected jaws) and utilize a suitable lever without damaging the sealing rims. If the stop is damaged, it may be cut with a chisel.
| CLEAN | ||
| Clean all mechanical components, the supporting surfaces and the bellows | The bellows has to be dry cleaned without any use of liquids or cleaning solvent. Clean the sealing surface of the support plate (10) and on the upper edges.
| Check: | ||
| Check sealing rims on the upper support (4) and on the support plate (10) in the lower part. | If necessary, replace the support plate or the top support
| Check the pneumatic bellows (2) and the internal bump stop (8) for condition | Replace the pneumatic bellows and the stops in case they present: - Traces of leakage. - Brittleness, cuts or fissures. - Deformed internal stop. - Sealing parts corroded or deformed by prolonged use.
| Installing | ||
| Install the cylindrical support (11) in the support attached to the front axle (12) and tighten the flange bolt (13)
| Press the stop (8) in the support plate (10) | Lubricate the stop with prepared and specified glycerin soap.
| Install the bellows (2) on the support plate (10) | Lightly lubricate all bellows mechanical sealing contact parts with prepared glycerin soap. Fit the bellows (2) manually on the support plate (10), folding it with the palms of the hands. Do not make use of metal made tools.
| Install the bellows (2) and the support plate (10) on the lower cylindrical support (11)
| Manually fit the bellows (2) on the upper support (16) fitting the sealing rim (4) on the top ring on the support (7) | The complete stowing in the top support (16) occurs with the pressurization of the bellows.
| Install the wheel | ||

| Lower the vehicle | ||
| Pressurize the pneumatic system
| Check for possible air pressure leaks in the system | Utilize neutral glycerin soap foam. Do not utilize normal soap foam as it contains caustic soda that corrodes the materials.
| Perform a test drive | Check the behavior of the pneumatic suspension. |
