	Remove
1	Raise vehicle.		AR00.60-D-1000-04TS

		 Commercially available devices/tools Tensioning straps
3	Prop up rear axle.

4	Remove articulated rod (9) from headlamp range control level sensor lever.	Model 907, 910 with code LG7 (LED High Performance headlamp)
		 To do so, remove ball head.
5	Secure rear axle.	 Commercially available devices/tools Tensioning straps
		 To do so, fix rear axle in place with tensioning strap on major assembly support.
6	Remove spring U-bolts (1).	 To do so, unscrew clamping sleeves.
		 Nut/clamping sleeve, spring U-bolt for rear axle spring to rear axle	*BA32.21-N-1004-01A
7	Remove plate (2).
8	Remove shock absorbers at rear axle.		AR32.25-D-0110TS
9	Remove rear axle spring (3) from front spring bracket.	 To do so, remove screw (5).
		 Bolt, rear axle spring to spring bracket at front	*BA32.21-N-1001-01A
10	Remove rear axle spring (3) with spring shackle (4) from rear spring bracket.	 To do so, remove screw (5).
		 Bolt, spring shackle to spring bracket at rear	*BA32.21-N-1003-01A
11	Remove propeller shaft from rear axle.	Model 907	AR41.10-D-0050TS
		 Tie up propeller shaft using suitable wire or cable to body. Otherwise drive shaft may become damaged.
12	Remove stabilizer bar from rear axle.	If installed.
		 Model 907 except code IT5 (5.0 tons) model 907 with code IT5 (5.0 tons)Bolt, stabilizer bar to rear axle	*BA32.35-N-1001-03TS
13	Remove rear axle spring (3).

		 Lower the rear axle carefully and do not pull or kink the brake hoses. Otherwise the brake hoses will be damaged.
		 To do so, lower rear axle.
		 A helper is required.
14	Remove spring seat (6).
15	Remove spring shackle (4) from rear axle spring (3).	 To do so, unscrew nut and remove screw.
		 Bolt, rear axle spring to spring shackle at rear	*BA32.21-N-1002-01A
	Check
16	Check elastomer bearings in rear axle spring (3) and spring shackle (4) for damage.	If corresponding findings are present,
		
		replace elastomer bearings in rear axle spring (3) and spring shackle (4).
		Remove/install elastomer bearing of rear axle spring	AR32.20-D-0240TS
	Install
17	Attach spring shackle (4) to rear bearing eye of rear axle spring (3).	Adjust rear axle spring	AR32.21-D-0232-01TS
		 To do so, install screw and screw on nut.
		 To do so, adjust installed dimension of rear axle spring (3).

		 Bolt, rear axle spring to spring shackle at rear	*BA32.21-N-1002-01A
18	Install rear axle spring (3) at front spring bracket.	 Tighten screw (5) lightly by hand. Otherwise the elastomer bearings will be placed under stress and will wear prematurely.
		 To do this, install screw (5).
		 For this, ensure correct installation position of rear axle spring (3). The mark (arrow) must point forward.
19	Mount rear axle spring (3) with spring shackle (4) to rear spring bracket.	 Tighten screw (5) lightly by hand. Otherwise the elastomer bearings will be placed under stress and will wear prematurely.
		 To do this, install screw (5).
20	Install plate (2).
21	Install spring seat (6).
22	Raise rear axle.

23	Install spring U-bolts (1).	 To do so, screw on clamping sleeves.
		 Nut/clamping sleeve, spring U-bolt for rear axle spring to rear axle	*BA32.21-N-1004-01A
24	Remove major assembly support from rear axle.

		 To do so, remove tensioning strap from rear axle and major assembly support.
25	Attach shock absorber to rear axle.		AR32.25-D-0110TS
26	Attach propeller shaft to rear axle.	Model 907	AR41.10-D-0050TS
27	Attach stabilizer bar to rear axle.	If installed.
		 Model 907 except code IT5 (5.0 tons) model 907 with code IT5 (5.0 tons)Bolt, stabilizer bar to rear axle	*BA32.35-N-1001-03TS
28	Attach articulated rod (9) to headlamp range control level sensor lever.	Model 907, 910 with code LG7 (LED High Performance headlamp)
		 To do so, attach ball head.
29	Remove locking clip on vehicle on vehicle lift.		AR00.60-D-0100-01TS
30	Lower vehicle.
31	Drive vehicle on 4-post vehicle lift or work pit.
32	Rock vehicle to settle suspension several times.
33	Tighten nuts of screws (5).	 The nuts of the screws (5) should only be tightened when the rear axle spring (3) is in its compressed state. Otherwise the elastomer bearings will be placed under stress and will wear prematurely.
