 	Remove/install
1	Remove rear bumper		AR88.20-P-2200CW
2	Detach electrical wiring harness (1) from crossmember of trailer hitch
3	Detach trailer socket (X58) from crossmember of trailer hitch		AR31.19-P-1350ED
4	Detach grommet (arrow) from rear center section
5	Remove spare tire well paneling		AR68.30-P-4600CW
6	Open cover in paneling at left side in trunk
7	Open cover in paneling at right side in luggage compartment
8	Detach trailer hitch lock electrical connector from trailer hitch release (A63)		AR31.11-P-8011ED
9	Detach and create access to branch-off line (1.1)
10	Detach and create access to electrical wiring harness (1) in vehicle interior
11	Detach trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)		AR31.19-P-1300ED
12	Detach blue connector (1.2) from trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)
13	Detach black connector (1.3) from trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)
14	Detach ground line from right taillamp trunk ground point (W7/1)	 Right taillamp trunk ground point	*BA00.19-P-1004-01F
15	Remove electrical wiring harness (1) through opening in rear center section	 Carefully remove the rubber grommet outward through the opening in the body. Otherwise the rubber grommet my be damaged.
16	Install in the reverse order
	Check
17	Conduct function check on mechanical swing-away trailer hitch		AR31.19-P-1450ED
18	Perform function test of light signals at trailer hitch socket
			AN31.10-P-0008-01A
