Open cover in paneling at left side in trunk

Unlock ball neck

The light-emitting diode (arrow) in the trailer hitch release (A63) starts to flash if the ball neck is not engaged. A warning message appears in the instrument cluster.

Engage ball neck into one of the two end positions

The light-emitting diode (arrow) in the trailer hitch release (A63) goes out. The warning message in the instrument cluster disappears.
