Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Secure vehicle on vehicle lift

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Remove bottom section of soundproofing

Remove diagonal struts at front

 Self-locking bolt, front diagonal strut to frame floor or front axle carrier

Thoroughly clean area around oil lines (1l, 1r) at oil cooler (2)

Detach retaining clamps (4) from oil lines (1l, 1r)

 Bolt, clamp to oil line

Unfasten oil lines (1l, 1r) from thermostat (5)

 Do not yet pull oil lines (1l, 1r) out of thermostat (5).

Detach oil lines (1l, 1r) from automatic transmission (3) and seal using suitable stop plugs

 Bolt, oil line to transmission housing

Pull oil lines (1l, 1r) out of thermostat (5) and seal openings with suitable plugs

Remove oil lines (1l, 1r) toward rear

 Installation: Replace seals.

Install in the reverse order

Check oil level in automatic transmission (3) and correct

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check automatic transmission (3) for proper operation and leaktightness
