Detach oil filler pipe

 Lay oil filler pipe to one side.

Detach anti-sway bar mount of anti-sway bar on axle/engine subframe

 Position anti-sway bar to the front.

Detach selector lever cable (3)

 Remove selector lever cable (3) on ball head and pull sideways out of the guide.

 Installation: Check locking plate, replace if necessary and grease ball socket.

 To do this, remove cover (4).

Remove engine crossmember at rear

Detach propeller shaft from automatic transmission (5)

 Place propeller shaft to one side and tie up on underfloor.

 Do not detach oil lines from oil cooler.

Remove starter from transmission housing

 Remove electrical lines at starter.

Remove remaining bolts of transmission housing to engine

Remove automatic transmission (5) to the rear

 Secure torque converter to prevent it from falling out in order to prevent damage.
