Remove/install

Remove intake manifold hose (1)

ENGINE 646, 651

 To do this detach clamp on air filter housing (4).

Remove fluid filler (3)

ENGINE 646, 651

 To do this push in safety spring and remove fluid filler (3) upwards.

Remove hose (7)

Disconnect electrical connector (8)

ENGINE 651

 To do this remove clamp on air filter housing (4) and disconnect electrical connection (8).

Pull air filter housing (4) out of records (5) on front module upwards

Pull air filter housing (4) out of rear mount to the front

Disconnect electrical connector (6)

ENGINE 646 with CODEMF4 (Low-emission engine conforming to EU4 Group 3) ENGINE 651

Remove air intake hose (2)

ENGINE 112, 272

Carefully remove engine 112 air intake hose (2).
The air intake pipe can be unlocked from sealing ring on intake manifold otherwise.

 To do this detach clamp on air filter housing (4).

Remove air filter housing (4)

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check intake system for leaktightness

Engine 112


Check for correcting seating of the intake system from engine to air filter housing (4) and leaktightness.
This avoids rough running of the engine and suctioning in of foreign objects.
