1 Insert guide sleeve (11) and compression spring (12).
2 Screw in and tighten screw plug (13).

3.1 Measure length "A" of opposite sleeve of backup light switch actuation (11).

3.2 Measure length "A" front section of thrust piece of backup light switch actuation (11).

4 Move the gearshift lever on the installed left thrust piece until it abuts.
5 Over the installation bore of the backup light switch measure the dimension "B" from the lay-on edge of the thrust piece to the gearshift lever.
6 Determine thickness of the shim.
(length "A" - dimension "B") + 0.1 mm play = thickness of required shim.
Example: (44.9 mm - 43.2 mm) + 0.1 mm = 1.8 mm
Shims are available in 0.1 mm graduation in thicknesses of 0.8 to 2.7 mm.

7 Remove screw plug (13).
8 Remove guide sleeve (11) and compression spring (12).
