1 | Detach countershaft brake cap (1) | Clean, check and, if necessary, replace the rapid exhaust valve of the countershaft brake: | |
Replace rapid exhaust valve of countershaft brake. | |||

2 | Remove O-ring (2) | Installation: replace O-ring (2). | |
3 | Remove boot (3) | Installation: TOP imprint must be visible. | |
4 | Remove piston (4) | ||
5 | Remove pressure pin (5) and push spring (6) | ||
6 | Remove internally toothed plates (8) and externally toothed plates (7) | Installation: Pay attention to the sequence of internally toothed plates (8) and externally toothed plates (7). The oil grooves (arrow) of the 3 internally toothed plates (8) must be in alignment. | |

7 | Check internally toothed plates (8) for wear, replace if necessary | When replacing internally toothed plates (8), these must be soaked for at least 8 h in cold gear oil or 10 minutes in hot gear oil (approx. 70 °C) before installation. | |
8 | Detach countershaft brake housing (9) | | |
9 | Remove O-rings (10, 11) | Installation: Install new O-rings (10, 11). | |
10 | Install in the reverse order |
