Disassemble

Remove the taper roller bearing (1)

Remove the ring spring (8), the synchronizing cone (7) and the synchronizing ring (6)

Remove the oil deflector (5)

 Only if necessary

Remove the safety lock (4) and the oil pipe (3)

 Only if necessary



Assemble

Position the new oil pipe (3) in the main shift (2) and install the safety ring (4)

 Only if the oil pipe (3) is removed.

Assemble the oil deflector (5)

 The oil deflector rubber lip (5) must be indicated to outside.

Check the wearing between the synchronizing cone (7) and the coupling sleeve

Fit the ring spring (8) in the synchronizing cone(7) and assemble the synchronizing ring (6)

 Grease the ring spring (8) and the synchronizing cone (7).

Install the synchronizing ring (6) in the main shaft (2)

Heat the taper roller bearing (1) at 100 °C assemble it in the main shaft

 After cooling (approx. 20 °C) adjust taper roller bearing internal ring without axial play. Grease the taper roller bearing (1)
