Remove transmission

Remove drive shaft radial shaft sealing ring

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1) of axle shaft


Do not damage sealing surface of transmission.
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Remove bearing race (2) of differential

 For driving out, use a suitable drift.

Cut off tip of oil deflector (3)

Remove bearing race (4) of main shaft

 Commercially available tools
Internal extractor,
Hammer.

Remove oil deflector (3)

9

Remove bearing races (5) of shift axles

 Commercially available tools
Internal extractor,
Hammer.

Remove bracket (6) of shift cables

11

Remove pilot bushings (7)

12

Unscrew drain screw



Assemble

Screw in drain screw

 Drain screw

Install pilot bushings (7)

Install bracket (6) of shift cables

 Screw/bolt, bracket to transmission housing

*BA26.10-N-1004-01J

Install bearing races (5) of shift axles

 Commercially available tools
Thrust piece Ø 14.5 mm.

Install new oil deflector (3)

Install bearing race (4) of main shaft

 Commercially available tools
Thrust piece Ø 55 mm.

19

Install bearing race (2) of differential

 Use tool C-F.

 Tool kit

Install radial shaft sealing ring (1) of axle shaft

 The radial shaft sealing ring (1) must sit flush.

 Drift
