1 | Release pressure from secondary pneumatic circuit | To release pressure, open secondary pneumatic circuit reservoir bleeder valve. | |
2 | Remove lining from below engine compartment and transmission | ||
3 | Remove electric connectors from clutch actuator (1) | ||
4 | Disconnect pneumatic tubing (3) from clutch actuator (1) | With compressed air connection system “VOSS 230” | |
With air connection system “VOSS 232” (NG 8, 12) or “SCHAFER SDF” (NG 6). | |||
Danger! | Risk of injury by seizing or compression of body parts when working on clutch actuators under pressure | Always remove ignition key and bleed clutch actuator before clutch actuator removal. | |
5 | Remove protection cover (5) from valve (4) | Apply pressure to valve stem (6) to establish a balance between ambient pressure and clutch actuator pressure. | |
6 | Loosen screws (2) and remove clutch actuator (1) | ||

7 | Adjust clutch actuator (1) tappet | Only for installation of a new clutch or a new tappet. | |

8 | Install clutch actuator (1) tappet on clutch fork | ||
9 | Install clutch actuator (1) | | |
10 | Install pneumatic tubing (3) for clutch actuator (1) | Installation: Replace sealing rings. | |
11 | Install electric connectors for clutch actuator (1) | ||
12 | Install lining under engine compartment | ||
13 | Reprogram transmission gearshift control unit | Perform a small transmission reprogramming |
