1 | Remove air filter housing | ||
2 | Drain off coolant |

3 | Remove crossmember under bumper | ||
4 | Remove front end crossmember (1) | To do this, remove screws (2) and swivel front end crossmember (1) out of the working area. | |
5 | Unfasten condenser and swivel out of the working area |

The condenser is not completely removed. Do not suction off refrigerant. | |||
6 | Remove charge air hoses from charge air cooler (3) | ||
7 | Detach coolant hose (4) at cooler (5) | ||
8 | Disconnect electrical connector (6) | ||
9 | Remove locks (8) | ||
10 | Remove holder (7) | To do so, turn holder (7) by 90° and remove upwards. | |
11 | Remove outside temperature sensor (B14) from left air duct segment | Do not disconnect electrical connector. | |
12 | Remove cooler (5) | Lift out cooler (5) together with charge air cooler (3) upwards. | |
13 | Modify existing detachable parts | Only when replacing the cooler (5). | |
14 | Install in the reverse order | ||

15 | Check engine cooling system for leak tightness |
