Remove/Install

Remove bottom section of sound-proofing capsule

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Detach coolant hoses (17, 19)

Remove electric fan (2)

Remove charge air cooler (110/2)

Separate condenser (14) from radiator (15)

Removal: Unclip radiator from condenser, carefully release condenser a little toward bottom. Avoid misshaping the condenser lines.

Lift out radiator (15) toward top

Installation: Insert mounting studs of radiator into rubber grommets (16) of lower cross member when installing.

Attach guard plate for condenser (14)

Additionally fasten condenser (14) to vehicle, in order to prevent damage of the condenser (14).
