Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Attach removal fixture for front axle carrier on front axle carrier

Lower engine with front axle carrier

Lower a maximum of 80 mm.

When lowering check for unobstructed movement of coolant hoses, air-conditioning hoses and electric cables, in order to avoid causing any damage.

Installation: Guides at the front axle carrier must be inserted into the holes in the longitudinal member.

Pay attention to guides at radiator.

Detach front axle carrier removal device from front axle carrier

Detach coolant hoses (5, 6, 7) at coolant pipe (1)

Inspect coolant hoses, screw clamps and collar clamps, replace if necessary.

Take off cable ties and expose wiring harness

Unscrew screw/bolts (2, 3)

Detach coolant pipe (1) from crankcase, pull out below dipstick guide tube and lift up and out

Installation: Replace the sealing ring (4) and moisten it with soapy water.

Install in the reverse order
