Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove charge air pipe from throttle valve actuator.

Remove left front fender liner.

 Installation: Install left front fender liner only after leak test.

Remove coolant distributor pipe (1).

 To do this, remove screws (2).
Place coolant distributor pipe (1) outside the working area.

Remove vacuum hose (7) from valve (8).

 Seal connections.

 Record plug

Remove hose (4) from valve (8).

 Release clamp and detach hose (4).
Seal connections.

Hose clamp pliers with cable

 Installation: Check clamp for re-usability.

 Set of protective covers

If clamp cannot be reused,

replace clamp.

Remove bracket (10) with valve (8).

 To do this, remove screws/bolts (3).

Remove valve (8) with bracket (10).

 To do this, unfasten clamp and remove hose (6) from coolant distributor pipe (5).
Seal connections.

Hose clamp pliers with cable

 Installation: Check clamp for re-usability.

If clamp cannot be reused,

replace clamp.

Remove hose (6) from valve (8).

When replacing hose (6) or valve (8).

 Release clamp and detach hose (6).

 Installation: Check clamp and hose (6) for re-usability.

replace affected component part.

Remove bracket (10) from valve (8).

When replacing bracket (10) or valve (8).

 To do this, remove screw/bolts (9) .

Install in the reverse order.

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
