Low-temperature circuit switchover valve

 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove front lower engine compartment paneling.

Drain off coolant.

Remove screws (2).

Remove coolant lines (1) at low-temperature circuit switchover valve (3) and seal openings using suitable protective covers.

Remove low-temperature circuit switchover valve (3) until electrical connector can be accessed.


Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.

Release and disconnect electrical connector at low-temperature circuit switchover valve (3).

Install in the reverse order.
