Remove and install

Remove the oil pan.

Unscrew the bolts (8), and remove the suction tube (7) and the sealing joint from the primary oil pump (1).

Install: Replace the sealing joint.



Unscrew the bolts (10), and remove the suction tube (9) and the sealing joint from the secondary oil pump (2).

Install: Replace the sealing joint.



Unfasten the bolts (12), and remove the outlet tube (11) from the secondary oil pump (2).



Remove the pressure limiting valve (4) from the primary oil pump (1).

Unscrew the bolts (3) and remove the oil pumps (1) and (2).



Remove the bushings (6) and the trailing axle (5) from the pumps (1) and (2).

Install: Check the bushings (6) and the trailing axle (5). Replace them, if necessary.

Measure the axial play of the oil pumps' inner gears (1) and (2).

Support the dial gauge on a pump and install the gauge, in such a way that the feeler touches the end of the gear axle with some pre-load. Push the gear axle, axially, aside and adjust the dial gauge scale at “0”. Push the gear axle to the opposite side and read the value shown in the dial gauge.

 In the case any abnormal condition is found, replace or repair the oil pump.
