Notes on use, material properties and handling of AdBlue®
2 | Turn off ignition | ||
Warning | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
3 | Relieve the cooling system pressure
Topical note | Notes on coolant
4 | Remove coolant pipe on pipe nozzle (5,6) | Only vehicles fitted with AdBlue heating
Catch the coolant in an appropriate container.
Installation: Replace the O-ring. Identify the coolant pipes with their respective coolant pipe openings (5, 6). After installing the pump module (8), refill the cooling system with the collected coolant.
Clamp | |||
5 | Detach the electric connector (7) from the pump module (8) | Do not let the connector (7) contact the AdBlue. This may cause damage to the harness and SCR control unit.
6 | Check the electric wiring harness |
| |
7 | Remove the compressed air connector (4) at the pump module (8) | Socket connection system of - "SCHÄFER SDF" compressed air in metallic material
8 | Open the insulation hose in the AdBlue pipe nozzle area (1,2,3) to a length of approximately 15 cm and move it backwards | Roller tongs
9 | Detach the piping (1) on the AdBlue suction nozzle
10 | Loosen the tube lines (2,3) from the AdBlue inlet nozzles | Identify the AdBlue pipes with their respective AdBlue pipe nozzles (2,3).
Installation: Replace the O-ring. Observe the identification of the pipes (2,3).
