1 Remove bolts (14), .
2 Remove cylinder heads (13, 17).
Installation: Clean sealing surfaces.

3 Remove seal rings (11, 18) from cylinder heads.
Installation: Clean the groove for the seal rings. Install new seals.
4 Pull cylinder heads (13, 17) apart, take off the connecting pipe (15) and remove seal rings (16).
Installation: Install new sealing rings (16).
5 Remove insert (10) and seal (19) from air compressor (M57).
Installation: Pay attention to the installation position of insert (10) and seal (19). Replace insert (10) and seal (19).

6 Take off seal (12).
Installation: Clean sealing surface. Replace seal (12) and seal ring (9).

7 Remove circlips (28) from cylinder heads (13, 17).
8 Take off caps (29), remove valve springs (30) and valves (31).
If the caps (29) are stuck, a punch can be used to drive the valves (31), valve springs (30) and caps (29) out of the cylinder heads through the holes (arrows).

9 Unscrew bolts (5) and remove the complete air filter housing (4) .
Installation: Check the filter and replace if necessary. Clean the air filter housing (4). Replace compression ring (3). Pay attention to the installation position of air filter housing (4).

10 Block the crankshaft.
To block the crankshaft, use a 6 mm offset Allen wrench
or offset Torx wrench T30
11 Unscrew bolt (2) and remove along with fitting sleeve (1), .
Installation: Replace bolt (2).
12 Pull piston (with conrod) (6) upward along with cylinder liner (8) to remove.
Installation: Replace piston (with conrod) (6) and cylinder liner (8).
13 Remove spring washer (7) from cylinder.
Installation: Replace spring washer (7).

14 Unscrew bolts (27) .
15 Pierce cap (26) with a screwdriver and tip out of air compressor (M57).
Installation: Replace cap (26) and seal ring (25).

16 Block the crankshaft.
17 Unscrew bolt (24) and remove along with fitting sleeve (23), .
Installation: Replace bolt (24).
18 Pull piston (with conrod) (22) upward along with cylinder liner (20) to remove.
Installation: Replace piston (with conrod) (22) and cylinder liner (20).
19 Remove spring washer (21) from cylinder.
Installation: Replace spring washer (21).
20 Assemble in the reverse order.
