Remove

Detach charge air hose (1) at ATL (3)

Close off the connection fitting on ATL (3) with a protective cover

Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

Detach charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on charge air cooler (2)

Detach charge air hose (1) on charge air line (4)

Close off the connection fitting on charge air cooler (2) and charge air lines (4) with protective covers

 Set of protective caps

Install

Install new sealing rings for charge air hoses (1a, 1b)

Remove protective cover from the connection fitting at charge air cooler (2) and charge air line (4)

Clean the connection fitting at charge air cooler (2) and charge air line (4)

 Carefully clean the connection fitting using clean, lint-free rags.

Mount charge air hose (1) on charge air line (4)

Do not apply any oil, grease or other lubricant.
The charge air hose (1b) can slip on the connection fitting otherwise.

Mount charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on charge air cooler (2)

Remove protective cover from connection fitting on ATL (3)

Clean the connection fitting on ATL (3)

Mount charge air hose (1) on ATL (3)

Do not apply any oil, grease or other lubricant.
The charge air hose (1b) can slip on the connection fitting otherwise.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform an engine test run and check charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on the connections for leaktightness
