Warning | Risk of injury. Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. | Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.
Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
Warning | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Warning | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

| Remove/install | ||
1 | Tilt cab | Installation: Only tilt back cab after the leak test.
2 | Remove soundproofing | Installation: Only install soundproofing after the leak test.
3 | Disconnect ground line of battery
4 | Drain coolant at engine radiator
5 | Remove starter | Only for engine 934.9
6 | Expose electric line (1)
7 | Remove heat shield (2) from exhaust gas turbocharger (4) | Bolt, heat shield to exhaust gas turbocharger
8 | Remove coolant lines (5) on boost pressure controller (Y636) | Bolt, coolant line flange to boost pressure regulator
9 | Disconnect electrical connection (6) for boost pressure actuator (Y636)
10 | Disconnect electrical connection (7) from turbine wheel rpm sensor (B610) and expose electrical line (8) | Only for engine 934.9
11 | Remove actuator rod (9) on lever (10) of the ATL (4) | Counterhold lever (10) when loosening and tightening.
Installation: Install new nut on lever (10).
Linkage to boost pressure regulator/turbocharger
12 | Remove boost pressure actuator (Y636) with bracket from ATL (4) | For a warranty claim, the boost pressure regulator (Y636) is always submitted with the actuator rod (9).
Bolt, boost pressure regulator bracket to turbocharger
13 | Install in the reverse order
14 | Start engine and perform an engine test run | Allow engine to run at a higher rotational speed.
15 | Stop engine and check area around the boost pressure actuator (Y636) for leaktightness | Visual inspection. |
