Removal

Remove screw/bolt (2).

Unscrew screw (3) from bracket (1).

Replace only during removal.

Remove screws/bolts (4).

Remove screw/bolts (6).

Remove brackets (1, 5).

If the brackets (1, 5) are separated from each other,



Perform installation with replacement.

Installation with replacement

Position bracket (5) and tighten screws (6).   .

 Use new screws (6).

Position clamp (9) on the flange of the exhaust manifold.

 Use new clamp (9).

 Ensure that the catch tabs (8) are seated correctly.

Install new tolerance compensating element (7) on the removed exhaust gas turbocharger, tighten slightly by hand, and then loosen by 90°.

Position exhaust gas turbocharger on the flange of the exhaust manifold, align, and tighten clamp (9).   .

Position bottom bracket (1) on the crankcase and tighten screws (3, 4) slightly by hand.

 Use new screws (3, 4).

Tighten screws/bolts (4)   .

Position brackets (1, 5) and tighten screws (4, 6) slightly by hand.

 Use new screws (4, 6).

Tighten screws/bolts (4)   .

Fully tighten bolts (6)   .
