Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
| Notes on coolant | ||
1 | Remove paneling on center piece in front of the windshield
2 | Loosen hose clamps (4) and remove charge air hose (3)
3 | Unclip clip (8) on throttle valve actuator (M16/6) bracket (9)
4 | Unplug plug (7) at throttle valve actuator (M16/6)
5 | Unscrew nut (5) for purge line (2) bracket and remove purge line (2) bracket from charge air distribution pipe (1)
6 | Detach purge line (6) at activated charcoal filter shutoff valve
7 | Loosen hose clamps (11) and detach coolant hoses (12) at throttle valve actuator (M16/6) | Collect coolant which flows out in a suitable vessel. Seal off openings on coolant hoses (12) and openings on throttle valve actuator (M16/6) using suitable plugs.
