1 | Remove the connector (1) from the pressure regulating valve (Y74). | ||
Danger! | Pay attention to the safety measures when dealing with fuel. | Risks of explosion and injuries. | |
2 | Unfasten the bolts (4) and remove the pressure regulating valve (Y74) from the common rail (5). | ||
| Install: | ||
3 | Clean the sealing surfaces. | ||
4 | Apply a thin layer of special grease on the sealing rings (2) and (3). | Replace sealing rings (2/3). Take care not to damage the sealing rings during the installation. The damaged rings can cause internal leaks which are not detectable from the outside. | |
5 | Install the pressure regulating valve (Y74) in the common rail (5) and tighten the bolts (4) in two stages. | Tighten the bolts gradually. | |

6 | Install the connector (1) in the pressure regulating valve (Y74). | ||
