2 | Position engine at 1st cylinder at 15° after top dead center | Turn crankshaft by hand in engine in its direction of rotation | |
3 | Loosen bolt (6) on support (7) | ||
4 | Loosen injection pump flange bolt (1) on timing case cover | ||
5 | Swivel injection pump (3) through turning the adjustment screw (4) at the start of delivery adjusting device (5) until both lamps "A and B" light up | Direction of rotation of the adjustment screw: Left = Start of delivery advanced | |

If the adjustment range is not enough, the injection pump will need to be moved | |||
Remove/install injection pump | |||
6 | Tighten bolts (1) and (6) on injection pump flange and on support (7) | | |

7 | Remove position sensor (2) | ||
8 | Inspect throttle control, adjust if necessary |
