| Remove/Install | ||
Danger! | Risk of explosion due to escaping gas or overheating of compressed gas tank, while working on natural-gas vehicles. Risk of frostbite to exposed body parts from escaping natural gas or contact with components near the valves, while draining compressed gas tanks. Risk of poisoning or suffocation if natural gas is inhaled. | Remove any sources of ignition. Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated. Wear heat-protective gloves.
1 | Close the gas shutoff valves at the compressed gas tanks
Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
2 | Start the engine and let it run until it stops by itself. | Push extraction hose onto exhaust pipe. After engine has stopped, switch ignition off. Gas system is sufficiently drained when the engine has stopped.
Danger! | Risk of explosion due to oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns if battery electrolyte is swallowed.Risk of injury caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries | No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and goggles. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
3 | Disconnect ground lead from battery
| Notes on battery | All models | |
4 | Remove air intake hose | Model designation 902.0/903.0/904.0
Model designation 902.6/903.6/904.6
5 | Remove gas distribution rail together with injection valves
6 | Pull anti-twist lock (1) away from injector valve (3) | Installation: When inserting the retaining clamp, ensure the anti-twist lock is correctly seated at the injection valve (four-point lug).
7 | Pull injection valve (3) out of the gas distribution rail (5)
8 | Take off sealing rings (2, 4) | Installation: Fit new sealing rings (2, 4) and lightly oil them
9 | Install in the reverse order |
