Remove camshaft sensors on left cylinder head

Turn engine on vibration damper (3)

 Hold new timing chain (2) high when turning.

Turn engine at vibration damper (3) in direction of engine rotation arrow (A) until the marking for a 305° crank angle on the vibration damper (3) is aligned with the positioning edge (4) of the timing case cover and the markings (5) on the pulse wheel on the left cylinder head stand in the middle in the camshaft sensors bores of the front cover.

Install camshaft sensors on left cylinder head

Turn engine on vibration damper (3)

 Hold new timing chain (2) high when turning.

Further turn engine on vibration damper (3) in direction of engine rotation arrow (A) to a 95° crank angle until the marking 40° crank angle after ignition TDC of the first cylinder on the vibration damper (3) is aligned with the positioning edge (4) of the timing case cover.
