Mark the scale of the measuring chain tensioner (1) for better legibility at 82 mm and at 84 mm with a colored pencil

Install the measuring chain tensioner (1)


Install the  measuring chain tensioner (1) without seal.
Otherwise a wrongly measurement value will be determined.

Turn engine on crankshaft in direction of engine rotation and, in doing so, read off the greatest indicator value from measuring chain tensioner (1)

 The greatest indicator value is recognized at the top dead center. Have a second person assist you.
