Removing/installing a timing belt

1	Tensioner pulley

	Remove
1	Check basic position of camshaft.		AR05.20-S-6035CD
2	Remove tensioner pulley (1).	 Unscrew screw/bolt (2) to do this.
3	Remove toothed belt (3).
	Check
4	Check front radial shaft sealing ring of crankshaft for leaktightness and damage.	If problems occur,
		
		replace front radial shaft sealing ring.

5	Check radial shaft sealing ring of camshaft for leak tightness and damage.	If problems occur,
		
		Replace radial shaft sealing ring for camshaft.
			AR05.20-S-7000CD
	Install
6	Replace coolant pump.		AR20.10-S-1271CD
		 Coolant pump must basically be replaced during every scheduled disassembly of toothed belt (3).
		If a non-scheduled disassembly of toothed belt (3) should take place and/or in the case of an already replaced coolant pump
		
		Check condition of the coolant pump and agree upon the next procedures with the customer.
7	Unscrew bolt (4).
8	Release camshaft sprocket (5).	 WIS Service Media wsm://04_201900_77
		 For this purpose, release screws (6) of camshaft sprocket (5). The camshaft sprocket (5) must be turnable and must still lie on the drive plate.
9	Install new tensioner pulley (1).	 WIS Service Media wsm://04_201900_78
		 Always replace the tensioner pulley (1) and screw/bolt (2); do not tighten screw/bolt (2) yet.
10	Mount new toothed belt (3).		AR05.10-S-7700-02CD
		 WIS Service Media wsm://04_201900_79
		 Always replace toothed belt (3).
		 Bolt, tensioner pulley for toothed belt to crankcase	*BA05.10-N-1001-01I
		 Bolt, camshaft sprocket to driver	*BA05.20-N-1003-02B
		 Drift	*607589001500
		 Drift catch	*607589011500
		 Retaining lock	*607589014000
11	Check basic position of camshaft again and install remaining parts.		AR05.20-S-6035CD
12	Install covers of toothed belt (3).		AR05.10-S-7605CD
