Removing

Remove belt pulley / vibration damper

Press out crankshaft radial seal (1)

Do not damage crankshaft and mounting hole for crankshaft radial seal (1). Use a clean cloth as a base.

Installing

Use sleeve (2) to install front crankshaft radial seal

If a wear groove from the old radial seal can be felt at the hub of the belt pulley/vibration damper, use insertion sleeve 606 589 00 14 00 with larger insertion depth (repair position).

Inspect for oil leaks after spraying the cleaned and dried surrounding area.
