Remove and install

Remove the flywheel (8)

Remove the starter (9)

Remove the ground lead

Slightly loosen all screws (5) from the oil pan (6)

Only remove the four screws (5) fastening the oil pan (6) at the rear.

Lower the oil pan (6)

During the removal work of the housing (2), be careful and do not damage the sealing gasket (4).

Should it be necessary to replace the sealing gasket (4), remove the oil pan (6).

Unscrew the bolts (1) and remove the timing case (2) and the gasket (10)

Apply a layer of sealing compound at the joints of the gasket of the housing (10) with the housing (2).

Cut the excesses of the gasket (10) at the ends carefully in order not to damage the oil pan gasket (4).

Install the flywheel/timing case (2) with attention for its perfect positioning.

Clean the contact surface between the flywheel/timing case (2) and the engine block

Replace the crankshaft (7) seal in the timing case (2)

Install in reverse order.
